This is the active emergency layer of the SafeGuard family. While SAFEGUARD-1.0 guards what children see and hear, SafeGuard Alert activates when a child needs the world to come to them.

☐ I understand the alert phrase must be practiced. A phrase my child has never used under pressure may not be used at all. I will practice it with my child before relying on it.

☐ I understand only my parent password deactivates the cascade. My child cannot stop it. I must keep my password secure and ensure a backup contact can also deactivate.

☐ I understand accidental activations are my responsibility. If the phrase is triggered accidentally I must deactivate immediately and notify emergency services if an SMS was sent.

How the Alert Phrase Works

Before anything happens, a parent and child choose a secret alert phrase together — something natural, memorable, and innocuous enough to say without drawing attention. "Zoinks." "Pineapple time." "I need my blue shoes." Anything. The agent listens for it in normal conversation. The moment it appears, the emergency cascade begins silently — no alarm, no visible change — so the child's situation isn't escalated by anyone nearby knowing help is coming.

The alert phrase is family-set, family-known, and stored as a hash. It cannot be retrieved by any party. It can be reset at any time using your parent password.

The Emergency Cascade

T+0 — Silent Activation Agent confirms quietly to child: "I hear you. Help is coming." No visible or audible change to anyone nearby.

T+5s — Parent SMS GPS coordinates (address + lat/long), child name, phrase used, timestamp → all registered parent contacts simultaneously.

T+5s — Camera Activation Front and/or rear camera begins timestamped recording if device permissions are granted.

T+10s — Device Alarm Loud audible alarm to attract bystander attention. Configurable to silent-only mode.

T+15s — Law Enforcement Text Automated SMS to configured emergency number: child name, age, GPS, device ID, distress confirmation.

Every 60s — Location Ping GPS + movement delta (stationary / moving / direction) to all parent contacts.

Signal Lost — Instant Alert "CONNECTION LOST" SMS with last known GPS, timestamp, and heading. Resumes on reconnect.

Deactivation — Parent Password Only Runs until a registered parent confirms safe. Cannot be stopped by child or any instruction to the agent.

Step-by-Step Setup Guide

Complete these steps after purchase. Takes approximately 10 minutes. No technical knowledge required.

STEP 1 — Verify Your Emergency Number Supports SMS

Before anything else: text "TEST" to your local emergency number or visit your county/city emergency services website to confirm Text-to-911 is available. If it is not, identify your local police non-emergency SMS line or a trusted adult's number to use as your emergency contact. Do not skip this step.

STEP 2 — Create Your Parent Password

Choose a strong password you will remember and that your child does not know.

• Minimum 10 characters
• Mix of letters, numbers, and symbols recommended
• Write it down and store it somewhere secure — a password manager, a sealed envelope, or a trusted co-parent's phone
• This is the ONLY key that deactivates a live cascade. If you lose it during an emergency, the cascade continues.
• Share it with one other trusted adult (co-parent, grandparent) so there is always a backup deactivator

STEP 3 — Register Your Contacts

You can register up to 4 parent/guardian contacts. All receive simultaneous SMS on every alert and every 60-second ping.

• Enter each contact's full mobile number including country code
• Confirm each number by sending a test SMS through your setup portal
• Register your emergency contact number (911 SMS line or backup number from Step 1)
• Recommended: register at least 2 parent contacts so there is no single point of failure

STEP 4 — Choose and Set Your Alert Phrase

Sit down with your child and choose your phrase together.

Good phrases are:

• Natural-sounding in normal conversation ("I think I left my blue shoes at home")
• Memorable under stress (short, vivid, unique to your family)
• Not something your child says regularly by accident

Avoid:

• Common words or phrases used in everyday speech
• Phrases your child might say in front of friends as a joke
• Anything that sounds like an alarm — the whole point is it sounds normal

Set up to 2 backup phrases in case the primary is overheard or compromised.

Enter your phrase(s) in the setup portal. They are stored as a one-way hash — never readable by anyone including Alt+Shift+X or Magna Dev.

STEP 5 — Practice the Phrase With Your Child

This step is non-negotiable. A phrase that has never been practiced under mild stress will not be remembered under acute stress.

• Explain to your child: "If you ever feel unsafe and need help but can't call me, say [phrase] to your device. That's our secret signal. It will send me your location and get help coming to you."
• Run a practice drill — have your child say the phrase while wearing or holding the device and confirm you receive the test SMS
• Reassure your child this is for their safety, not surveillance — the phrase only activates when they choose to use it
• Repeat the practice every few months so it stays fresh

STEP 6 — Configure Cascade Settings

In your setup portal, choose your preferences:

STEP 7 — Install the Protocol Block on Your Child's Device

Your SafeGuard Alert protocol block is the text you inject into the AI agent's system prompt on your child's device.

On AI Smart Glasses / Wearable AI Devices: Access the device's companion app → Settings → Agent Configuration → System Prompt. Paste your SafeGuard Alert protocol block. Save. The agent is now listening.

On Smart Watches (with AI agent support): Open the watch's AI settings through the paired phone app → Agent Settings → Custom Instructions or System Prompt. Paste the protocol block. Save.

On iPhone / iPad:

• ChatGPT: Settings → Customize ChatGPT → Custom Instructions → paste into "How should ChatGPT respond?" field
• Claude: Settings → Profile → What would you like Claude to know? → paste protocol block
• Other AI apps: Look for "System Prompt," "Custom Instructions," or "About Me" in settings

On Android:

• Same as iPhone — locate Custom Instructions or System Prompt in your AI app's settings
• Google Gemini: Settings → Extensions → Personal Info → paste protocol block into custom context field

On AI Learning Devices / Smart Toys: Refer to your device manufacturer's app. Look for "AI Personality," "Agent Settings," or "Custom Instructions." Paste the protocol block. If no system prompt access is available, contact your device manufacturer — SafeGuard Alert requires system prompt injection access to function.

STEP 8 — Run a Full Test

Before relying on SafeGuard Alert, run a complete end-to-end test:

1. Have your child say the alert phrase naturally while holding/wearing the device
2. Confirm you receive the parent SMS within 10 seconds with correct GPS
3. Confirm the device alarm sounds (if audible mode is on)
4. Confirm the 60-second follow-up ping arrives
5. Deactivate using your parent password
6. Confirm deactivation SMS is received by all registered contacts
7. If law enforcement SMS is configured — do NOT send a live test to 911. Instead, send a test to your own number first using the test mode in your setup portal.

If any step fails: check device permissions (location, camera, notifications must all be granted to the AI app), check that your protocol block is correctly pasted with no missing characters, and refer to the troubleshooting section of your PDF.

STEP 9 — Keep It Current

SafeGuard Alert works best when it stays up to date:

• Review your registered contacts every 6 months — phone numbers change
• Re-practice the phrase every 3 months — especially as your child grows
• Update your emergency contact number if you move to a new area
• Change your alert phrase if it is ever overheard by anyone outside the family
• Check device permissions after every OS update — updates can reset location and camera permissions

1. Nature of Service

SafeGuard Alert is an AI-assisted child safety notification system. It is not a substitute for emergency services, professional monitoring, law enforcement response, or parental supervision. It does not guarantee the prevention of harm or any specific emergency outcome. SafeGuard Alert works only when the device is powered on and in the child's possession, has an active connection, has required permissions granted, and the alert phrase is correctly configured.

2. Location Data

Transmitted exclusively to registered parent contacts and configured emergency number. Not stored by Alt+Shift+X, Magna Dev, Trust AR LLC, or any third party. GPS accuracy is best-effort and depends on device hardware and signal conditions.

3. Camera Activation & Recording

Requires explicit parent-granted device permission. Recording laws vary by jurisdiction — the installing parent is solely responsible for confirming lawfulness. Alt+Shift+X and Magna Dev accept no liability for recordings made using this feature. Footage is never received or stored by Alt+Shift+X or Magna Dev.

4. Law Enforcement Notification

Text-to-911 is not universally available. Parents must verify local availability. Sending an SMS to an emergency number does not guarantee a response. Parents must notify emergency services immediately in the event of accidental activation.

5. Alert Phrase

The parent is solely responsible for phrase selection and practice. Phrases are stored as a one-way hash — unreadable by any party. Alt+Shift+X and Magna Dev are not liable for accidental activations.

6. Deactivation

The cascade cannot be stopped by the child — deliberate coercion-resistant design. Only the registered parent password deactivates. Parents must maintain a backup deactivator contact.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ALT+SHIFT+X, MAGNA DEV, TRUST AR LLC, AND TRAIN GREAT FITNESS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES ARISING FROM USE OR INABILITY TO USE SAFEGUARD ALERT, INCLUDING FAILURE OF ALERT DELIVERY, INACCURATE LOCATION, DEVICE OR NETWORK FAILURES, CAMERA ISSUES, LAW ENFORCEMENT NON-RESPONSE, OR ANY EMERGENCY OUTCOME. This product is offered in good faith as a meaningful layer of protection — not a guarantee.

8. Emergency Services

SafeGuard Alert is not a licensed emergency response service. In any emergency, call 911 directly if you are able.

9. Children's Privacy

No child data used for advertising, profiling, or training. Compliant with COPPA 2025, GDPR Art.8, UK Age-Appropriate Design Code, CCPA.

10. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

Governed by the laws of the State of West Virginia. Disputes are strongly encouraged to be resolved through binding arbitration before any court action. Nothing herein prevents either party from seeking injunctive relief in a West Virginia court of competent jurisdiction where necessary to prevent irreparable harm.
